When should I get my first pedal guitar effects and what should I expect?
I have a Line 6 spider 30 amp watts and a cut Gibson Les Paul double.
Kind've a shame, placing a Gibson through an output line 6. Line 6 has many built-in effects and garbage, and honestly not see a considerable degree of improvement if you start getting pedals and all that. My personal advice would be to get an amplifier that does not include built-in effects, preferably tube, and from there. Kustom, Epiphone, Fender have all tube amps for under $ 200, and even if they are only 5-10W, as strong as its line of 30w 6. Bring your guitar center guitar and try some of the amps I mentioned. If you can hear the difference, then you know what I mean. The pedals certainly you receive depends on your preferred style. A blues guitarist who wants a solo guitarist for a tubescreamer indie Ibanez might want to delay pedal or a phaser or flanger pedal for vortex / ambient sounds, a country wishes to drive a chorus pedal simple chords and fills a little sugar. I want mixed choir and Phaser — My list things just trippy sounds cooler. MultiFX pedals are definitely going. Quality is not always the tone of the pedal to separate, but is a way to go. I have a Boss GT-3 I love it, and I just clean sounds – I can call a large cloth swooshy, or delays Environment (ding.. .. Ding Ding …), or rivers of lint, etc. Saul
